Number of guests

The number of guests has decreased by 1.3 per cent on the 3^rd quarter of 2018 as compared with the same period of 2017. The number of guest increases in the Qeqqata Kommunia and Kommune Kujalleq and it decreases in the other regions. The number of estimated guest was of 5.6 per cent. The estimations are from 2017 figures in the case of the missing rapports.

Number of overnights

There was a decrease of 3.9 per cent on the number of overnights in 2018 compared with the same period in 2017.

Remarks

Statistics Greenland receives data from most of the accommodations in Greenland and for the biggest hotels. The figures are preliminary and they might change when Statistics Greenland receive the missing rapports.

 

Small corrections have been made in the figures for 2017 in the Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq Øst region.

 

The Unknown category have been introduce since 2018, in the previous years the guests with unknown residence place country is included under the “Other countries” category.
